Jum’at, (11/03/22) Santri Dimsa melangsungkan kegiatan outing class bagi seluruh anggota ekstrakurikuler cooking yang diikuti oleh sebanyak 60 santri. Kegiatan outing class tersebut dilaksanakan di Dapur Lely Resto yang beralamat di Karang Malang, Puro, Sragen.
Para santri yang umumnya setiap sepekan sekali mengikuti kelas memasak di asrama, kali ini berganti suasana dengan mengikuti kelas memasak di Dapur Lely. Pada kesempatan kali ini, mereka diberikan tips dan trik tentang cara membuat Gethuk Lumer dengan berbagai varian isi yang menggugah selera. Tentu hal ini menjadi pengalaman menarik sekaligus berharga bagi para santri.
Kegiatan outing class ini bertujuan untuk membekali semangat berwirausaha para santri agar mereka dapat terus mengasah kemampuan memasaknya. Dengan ini, diharapkan mampu menjembatani minat serta bakat santri di bidang non akademik. Hal ini sejalan dengan yang disampaikan oleh Ustadzah Indah Purnawati, S.Pd.I, bahwa para santri harus dikenalkan dengan hal-hal baru agar tumbuh menjadi santri yang memiliki wawasan seluas-luasnya.
Antusiasme para santri dalam mengikuti kegiatan outing class sangatlah luar biasa. Mereka tidak hanya dibekali teori prosedur pembuatan gethuk, tetapi juga turut berperan serta dalam pembuatannya. Sama seperti ekstrakurikuler di asrama, namun bedanya kali ini mereka dapat terjun langsung ke tempat pembuatan berbagai macam jenis makanan kudapan, yaitu di Dapur Lely yang tak lain adalah milik pendamping ekstrakurikuler cooking.
